Frequently asked questions
What makes it a luxury longtail?
Our longtail has cushioned seating, shade and curtains, with snacks, fresh fruit and soft drinks on board, and your own captain, crew and English-speaking guide. It keeps the character of a traditional Thai longtail but is far more comfortable.
How much does a private longtail boat cost in Koh Samui?
A half-day trip costs 10,000–14,000 THB per boat and a full day 16,000–20,000 THB per boat, depending on your group size. The boat is for your group only.
How many people can the longtail take?
Up to 10 guests.
What's included?
Your captain and crew, an English-speaking guide, snorkelling gear, drinking water, soft drinks, snacks and fresh fruit. Lunch is included on the full-day trip. Hotel transfers can be added at an extra cost.
Where does the longtail leave from?
Trips depart from the south of Koh Samui. The exact departure point depends on the day's conditions, and we'll confirm it when you book.
What is Pig Island?
Pig Island is Koh Madsum, a small island off Koh Samui's south coast where a group of friendly pigs lives along the shoreline. The water is calm and shallow, so it suits all ages.
Should I choose a longtail or a speedboat?
A longtail is slower, calmer and more traditional, ideal for the southern islands close to Koh Samui. For further trips such as Ang Thong National Marine Park or Koh Tao, choose one of our private speedboat charters.
