Getting from Koh Samui to other popular destinations in Thailand and nearby islands usually involves a combination of ferry, boat, or flight travel. Here's how you can reach some well-known destinations from Koh Samui:

Koh Phangan: Koh Phangan is a nearby island known for its Full Moon Party, although there is so much more to offer than this one night a month. The island is absolutely beautiful and we would highly recommend a visit. You can take a ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan, with frequent services operating throughout the day.

Koh Tao: Koh Tao, famous for scuba diving and snorkelling, is accessible by ferry from Koh Samui. The journey takes a few hours.

Bangkok: To reach the capital city, Bangkok, you have several options. You can take a direct flight from Samui Airport to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Bangkok. Alternatively, you can take a ferry to the mainland (Surat Thani or Donsak) and then travel by bus or train to Bangkok.

Phuket: Phuket is another popular destination in Thailand. You can take a direct flight from Samui Airport to Phuket International Airport (HKT). Alternatively, you can take a ferry to the mainland (Donsak) and then travel to Phuket by bus or taxi.

Krabi: Krabi, known for its stunning beaches and access to Railay Beach, is reachable by taking a ferry from Koh Samui to the mainland (Donsak) and then continuing by bus or taxi to Krabi.

Chiang Mai: To travel from Koh Samui to Chiang Mai, you'll generally need to take a flight. There are no direct flights, so you'll likely have a layover in Bangkok.

Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island: This beautiful area can be reached from Koh Samui by taking a ferry to the mainland (Donsak), followed by a bus or taxi to Phang Nga Bay.
