About Experience

Step aboard a traditional Thai fishing boat with your own private crew and spend the day on the water around Koh Samui, heading to productive fishing grounds based on the day's conditions, with an experienced local captain choosing the spots.

Fish for snapper, grouper, trevally, barracuda, cobia, gar and queen fish using traditional rod fishing techniques your guide will walk you through. Between spots, there's no agenda: cruise, swim, take in the ocean views, or simply switch off. The pace is entirely yours.

Once you've made your catch, lunch is a Thai-style barbecue on the water, cooking and eating your own freshly caught fish, straight from the sea. It's the kind of meal that's hard to replicate anywhere else.

The charter runs for around five hours, from 10:30am to 3:30pm, departing from Chaweng, with night fishing available on request. Choose a smaller boat for up to 7 guests or a larger boat for up to 25. Fishing equipment, bait, lunch, water and soft drinks are included, and hotel transfers can be arranged.

You're welcome to bring your own drinks on board at no extra charge.

How much does a fishing charter in Koh Samui cost?
A small boat for 1 to 4 people costs 10,000 THB, with extra guests at 1,000 THB each up to 7 guests. A larger boat for 1 to 4 people costs 15,000 THB, with extra guests at 1,000 THB each up to 25 guests. Night fishing is the same price.

Where does the fishing charter leave from?
The fishing charter departs from Chaweng. Hotel transfers can be arranged at an extra cost.
