Where is the best snorkelling near Koh Samui?

Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan have the clearest water and richest reefs in the Gulf of Thailand. Ang Thong National Marine Park offers quieter reefs among 42 limestone islands, and Koh Taen has a sheltered reef close to Koh Samui that suits beginners.

How much does a snorkelling tour from Koh Samui cost?

Group speedboat tours to Koh Tao or Ang Thong start from 2,200 THB per adult, small-group boutique tours from 5,450 THB per adult, and private luxury longtails to Koh Taen from 10,000 THB per boat.

Is snorkelling gear included?

Yes. Snorkelling equipment is provided on all of our snorkelling tours, and the Koh Tao boutique tour also includes snorkel tuition.

Is snorkelling suitable for beginners?

Yes. Guides are with you in the water, and the sheltered reef at Koh Taen and the small-group boutique tours are especially good for first-timers.

Will we see turtles or whale sharks?

Hawksbill turtles are seen around Koh Tao year-round, and whale sharks pass through in season, usually from March to June. Sightings are never guaranteed.

When is the best time to snorkel around Koh Samui?
